Touch of Tennis - 2015

Touch of Tennis, a free, nationally awarded tennis program for special-needs students, is set to kick off it's 15th year! The Touch of Tennis program includes tennis instruction and tennis-related games to any individual with any special-need. AS ALWAYS, clinic will be on WEDNESDAY NIGHTS from 6:30-7:45 PM for 6 weeks. THE FIRST NIGHT WILL BE JULY 1ST! For you returners, we know if you need a racquet, we will loan out racquets. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD to any people or groups you know! Please sign-up in advanced so we can coordinate things! The link to register is at the bottom of this post. We are hoping for another great session, especially since the Gwynedd Mercy University tennis teams have won the conference championships 8 of the last 9 seasons. A handful of these players will be on board to provide great instruction, along with the other tremendous tennis volunteers! On a side-note: I am very pleased to announce that our "Touch of Tennis" program is in the finalizing stages to establish a similar "sister" program for the students of a town in Southwest Florida. One of our long-time Directors, Jim Holt Sr. (a regular fixture/permanent coach on court 5 at the end of the courts), an integral coach in both the Griffin's historic success and also a key to the foundation Touch of Tennis... is leading the charge...Touch of Tennis is now about to expand to Collier County, one of the top counties in Florida! Touch of Tennis in two states, both so big, yet so far apart?! Awesome news!
